MeshNetworks Named One of the “10 start-ups to watch” by Network World
Innovative developer of mobile broadband technology singled out for its “self-forming, self-healing wireless networks.”

MAITLAND, Fla., April 29, 2002 – MeshNetworks, Inc., the leading provider of mobile peer-to-peer networking technology has been named to Network World’s “10 start-ups to watch in 2002.”

The company and its unique wireless IP routing technology is featured in the annual Network World 200 Issue, published Monday, April 29. “We received pitches on a ton of cool companies and products, so zeroing in on these 10 was tough,” according to article’s author, Ann Bednarz. “But they edged out the others for their mixes of technology innovation, market strategy, management experience and financial backing.”

An on-line version of the complete article can be found at (www.nwfusion.com/nw200/2002/mesh.html).

MeshNetworks was selected not only for its “vision of self-forming, self-healing wireless networks,” but also because “the company offers all the pieces needed to build its ad hoc networks, including routing and networking software, mobile broadband PC cards, wireless routers, access points and a mobile switching controller to connect access points to wired networks.”

“We are very pleased to be singled out by Network World as one of the hottest start-ups of the year, and the only wireless broadband technology company to make the list,” said Masood Garahi, Chairman and CEO of MeshNetworks. “This recognition by the leading publication in networking technology validates both the market opportunity, and the power of the architecture that MeshNetworks offers.”

MeshNetworks will be demonstrating its breakthrough technology and products in a featured two-hour technical session at the 802.11 Planet conference & expo in Philadelphia on June 11, 2002. (www.intmediaevents.com/80211/spring02)
