The MeshNetworks MN2064A baseband processor ASIC with integrated Medium Access Controller provides a highly integrated solution that meets the demands of today’s high bandwidth mobile wireless applications. Based on MeshNetworks patented QDMA(tm) radio technology, the MN2064A allows wireless application developers and OEM manufacturers to meet the requirements of emerging Ad hoc networking standards (ie. MANET). This is the same core ASIC that is used in all our MEA mobile broadband products.

An embedded ARM7TDMI RISC processor handles all Medium Access Controller protocol functions and advanced Ad hoc routing algorithms reducing the need for host processor intervention. An industry standard PCMCIA interface provides glue-less connectivity to standard 16-bit PC Card and CompactFlash interfaces. A programmable radio interface allows for seamless connectivity to many standard radio configurations. MN2064A highlights include:

Hardware Developers Kit

  • Complete schematics and Gerber files for a prototype radio transceiver
  • IBIS simulation models
  • BSDL boundary scan file for manufacturing test
