Management Team

Richard Licursi, CEO and co-founder, recently served as Chairman and CEO of Phoenix Wireless Group, a wireless telecom software company purchased by Excel Switching in 1999, of which he was co-founder. He later served as President of ABRAXAS International, a telecom software consulting firm, acquired by MCI in October, 1991. Prior to that he served as CEO and President of Cincinnati Bell Information Systems, CBIS, now Convergys, during it's initial years and was instrumental in establishing CBIS as the world's premier wireless customer care and billing services company. Prior to CBIS, Mr. Licursi held numerous positions at Auxton Computer Enterprises, acquired by Cincinnati Bell, Inc. in 1987, his last position being that of Executive Vice President of Operations.

Clifford L. Chillemi, VP, Secretary & General Counsel, brings over 25 years of experience in corporate and commercial transactions in the high tech sector. He has been responsible for managing legal matters concerning intellectual property, technology licensing agreements, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and network implementations. Prior to joining MeshNetworks, Cliff was Vice President & General Counsel at TVG Network, a subsidiary of Gemstar Company, TV Guide International, where he was responsible for all legal and regulatory matters related to the network. Before TVG, Cliff spent several years at AmTote International, Inc., a multinational company providing computer hardware and software for on-line transaction processing, as Vice President and General Counsel.

Dr. Kimon Anemogiannis, Vice President of Operations, has over 20 years experience in wireless communication technology. Prior to joining MeshNetworks, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Sawtek, Inc., a Nasdaq traded, leading supplier of surface acoustic wave components that merged with semi-conductor company Triquint, Inc., in 2001. Prior to joining Sawtek, Kimon held progressively senior engineering positions for the surface acoustic wave group at Siemens Matsushita Components (now known as EPCOS, AG), a manufacturer of electronic components based in Munich, Germany. Kimon started his carrier at the Central Research Laboratory of Siemens AG in the field of Material Research. Dr. Anemogiannis has M.S. & Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich and holds 7 patents in Surface Acoustic Wave Technology.

Joe Hamilla, Vice President of Engineering, has over 18  years experience in wireless communications, semiconductors and product development.  Prior to joining MeshNetworks, Joe was Manager of Wireless Product Development at ParkerVision Inc., an RF semiconductor technology company.  Before his time at ParkerVision, Joe served as  Manager of  Product  Development for Cincinnati Electronics, a provider of technical solutions for electro-optical and communications problems and also served as Manager of  Manufacturing  Operations at Crysteco, a semiconductor substrate fabrication company.  At Cincinnati Electronics he led the team that developed satellite communication systems for government and commercial customers.

Mike Johnson, Chief Science Officer, has a varied engineering background with more than 20 years of experience in RF communications, software development and data networking. Prior to MeshNetworks Mike was at SkyTel . He held the position of VP Messaging Systems Development and was responsible for software and systems development for the SkyTel networks. Before SkyTel, he was in a variety of R&D positions for GTE(Verizon) Information Sciences. In that capacity, Mike introduced technology for ISDN, AI systems, Network engineering and voice response systems.

Patrick R. McNair, Chief Financial Officer, has over 15 years experience in the areas of finance and accounting, most recently serving as CFO for Recreation USA, a NASDAQ listed consumer product company. In addition, he has previously served as Vice-President of Finance and Administration for CNL Fund Advisors, Inc., an affiliate of CNL Group, Inc., one of the nation's largest privately held real estate companies, with over $3.0 billion of properties developed. At CNL, he directed the placement of over $900 million of capital for affiliated companies' real estate acquisition programs. Pat's experience also includes Sawtek, Inc., a NASDAQ listed manufacturer of surface acoustic wave bandpass filters used in both wireless infrastructure equipment and subscriber units, where he was responsible for the areas of SEC reporting and taxation.

Paul Mueller, Vice President of Sales, is a 20-year veteran of the telecommunications, defense and IT industries. Prior to joining MeshNetworks, Paul was co-founder and President of Miami, FL based TelePronto Incorporated, a unified communications service provider. TelePronto was acquired by a private investment consortium in 2004. Prior to co-founding TelePronto, Paul was EVP and COO of Miami, FL based VirtualCom, a facilities based VoIP service provider with PoPs throughout Latin America. Prior to VirtualCom, Paul was EVP and COO of Maitland, FL based Phoenix Wireless Group, a supplier of software based cellular and wireless local loop systems to private carriers and PTTs throughout Latin America, Asia and Africa. Phoenix was acquired by Lucent Technologies in 1999. Prior to Phoenix Wireless Group, Paul was President and COO of Lincoln, NE based Transcrypt International, a manufacturer of LMR and INFOSEC products for government and public safety organizations worldwide. Transcrypt concluded a successful NASDAQ IPO in 1996. Prior to Paul’s startup experience, he spent ten years with the Motorola Corporation where he held engineering, sales and business management positions in the Government Electronics Group and Land Mobile Products Sector. Paul began his career with the US Army Communications-Electronics Command at Fort Monmouth, NJ.

Rick Rotondo, VP of Technical Marketing, has over 10 years experience in telecom and data communications. Prior to joining MeshNetworks, Rick was AVP of Marketing Operations for Lucent Technologies' Open Network Solutions group. Rick managed a team whose focus was on creating partnerships with companies who developed applications on Lucent's open platforms. Rick joined Lucent when the company acquired Excel Switching Corporation in 1999. At Excel, he served as Director of Wireless Marketing, providing direct marketing and sales support targeted at wireless infrastructure and wireless intelligent networking developers. Prior to Excel, Rick held several positions at Nortel, Inc., including Manager of Cellular PCS Marketing. He is a frequent speaker at industry events.

Peter Stanforth, Chief Technology Officer, has more than 20 years of telecommunications industry experience. Prior to joining MeshNetworks, he was Vice President at the Excel Switching Division of Lucent Technologies, responsible for technical marketing for IP based soft-switch technologies. In addition to his work at Lucent, Peter was co-founder, Vice President, and Chief Technical Officer at Phoenix Wireless Group. At PWGI he was the inventor of the patented Phoenician® call control platform.

Martin Suter, VP of Business Development, is a strategic marketing and business development executive with years of international experience. He has led strategic alliances and business development teams for several pre-IPO and publicly traded technology companies.  Prior to joining MeshNetworks, Martin served as senior management, responsible for building several high-profile alliances in leading technology companies, including Microsoft and SUN Microsystems. During his 13-year career, he has held senior management positions with Nortel Networks’ Disruptive Technology team, FastLane Technologies and the Corel Corporation.
