MOTOMESH Quattro • Four Radio Meshed WiFi Network with Mobility Enabled Access (MEA)

The MOTOMESH Quattro, Four Radio Meshed WiFi Network with MEA is one of the first multi-radio mesh networks to combine 4.9 GHz licensed mobile broadband radios and unlicensed WiFi radios into a single access point.

The MOTOMESH Quattro solution enables truly distinct wireless broadband networks to operate over a common physical infrastructure. Competing mesh solutions rely on “virtual networking,” which means municipal workers, first responders and the public must compete for bandwidth and access on a single physical WiFi network. MOTOMESH Quattro allows municipalities to serve diverse communities of interest without the risk of public WiFi users overwhelming mission critical mobile broadband users.

MOTOMESH Quattro is one network solution for today’s municipalities supporting Public Safety, Public Works and Public Access.

WMC7300 - Wireless Modem Card

Motorola offers the WMC7300 wireless modem card that operates in the licensed 4.9GHz band and is exclusively for public safety.

By simply inserting the wireless modem card, up to 6 Mbps burst data rates for streaming audio and video, fast and accurate position location, and voice services can be added to any device with a PCMCIA card slot. Client devices with the WMC7300 installed can form their own ad hoc, peer-to-peer network – anytime, and anywhere.

For users and agencies unaffiliated with public safety, Motorola offers the WMC6300, which operates in the unlicensed, 2.4GHz band.

MWR7300 - Mesh Wireless Router

The MWR7300 extends coverage and connectivity in a MOTOMESH Quattro network by meshing access points and users together. The MWR7300 contains two standards compliant, 802.11 (WiFi) radios and two of Motorola’s widely acclaimed, Mobility Enabled Access (MEA) mobile broadband radios. One set of WiFi and MEA radios operate in the unlicensed, 2.4GHz band and the other set operate in the licensed, 4.9GHz public safety band.

Wireless Routers are typically used to seed new network deployments to ensure sufficient coverage while the client population is growing.

Wireless Routers Also Provide:

  • Two high-speed Ethernet ports (supports six IP addresses)
  • Range extension between the client and IAPs
  • Fixed reference points for position location services
  • Provide coverage in hotspot/in-building applications

IAP7300 - Intelligent Access Point

The Intelligent Access point provides the wireless gateway between a MOTOMESH Quattro network and the wired world. If greater network capacity is required, additional IAPs can be easily deployed.

The IAP7300 contains two standards compliant, 802.11 (WiFi) radios and two of Motorola’s widely acclaimed Mobility Enabled Access (MEA) mobile broadband radios. One set of WiFi and MEA radios operate in the unlicensed, 2.4GHz band and the other set operate in the licensed, 4.9GHz public safety band.

Intelligent Access Points Also Provide:

  • Separate and dedicated wireless broadband access for public works, public safety and public access
  • Local network management of Wireless Routers and Client Devices
  • Fixed reference point for position location services
  • Mobility management

VMM7300 - Vehicle Mounted Modem

The VMM7300 turns any vehicle into a mobile office, offering secure and reliable wireless connectivity to a 4.9GHz MOTOMESH Quattro network.

The VMM7300 operates in the 4.9GHz band thatcis licensed exclusively for public safety use.  Designed for heavy duty use, this rugged and compact device is made to withstand the heat, shock and vibration of public safety vehicles. For users and agencies unaffiliated with public safety, Motorola offers the VMM6300, which operates in the unlicensed, 2.4GHz band.

The VMM7300 delivers up to 6 Mbps burst data rates on both the uplink and downlink for voice, video and data. Connectivity can be available for Internet, live streaming video, databases, telemetry, and other high bandwidth applications – even at speeds in excess of 150 mph.

Like all MOTOMESH products, the VMM acts as a wireless router/repeater – automatically extending the range, robustness and performance of the wireless network.

Vehicle Mounted Modems Also Provide:

  • Real-time position location without GPS
  • Up to 3 assignable IP addresses
  • Over-the-air software upgrade support
